Ok, food on the run.
One tactic that works really well is utilizing a 'slow cooker' we call them Croc Pots here.

Very basically load it up with veges, stock, meat (cheap cuts like gravy beef), seasoning.
Turn it on, leave overnight. And there you go - meals for a weeks lunches.
Do that 3 times for a constant supply.

We pack these meals in sandwich bags. Servings about the size of your fist only. And freeze.
Take two or three to work and microwave when needed. Presto a work meal in 3mins thats good for you. And budget friendly!
