| yep i go to the pool on both power days, as it happens, for games at night.
but... well firstly i dont have anything to compare with. i dont have nights without gym and nights with... but in any case i dont notice less bottom-time, i would just notice less intensity and commitment to the game if i thought i wasn't staying down long enough.
games do vary hugely though from week to week depending on opposition.... and completely different from say a camp, where you've been pumping yourself up and you are psyched for short bursts of high intensity play (hopefully)... club nights tends to be more drawn out like an hour long session, same as in many places. i might take the puck off a schoolgirl who has played 3 years, and then 2 seconds later be destroyed by someone a lot better... and so intensity tends to vary!
i might feel a bit of a lack of energy or fatigue set in a bit earlier than usual if i havent eaten properly earlier in the day... i used to feel it when i wasnt hydrated enough, but that hasnt been an issue for quite a few weeks now, certainly not since all this eating! most games i personally tend to float around for most of the game with few subs (there arent a lot of goalies around here) so conserving energy where possible is pretty instinctive and i find it hard to gauge my energy levels unless i'm exhausted.
sorry for the drawn out reply!
