Glad you mentioned the vortex v6's as I was eyeing up a pair earlier in the week for £30
(My usual fins are Mares Quattro's, and unfortunately I have a history of problems relating to cramp and ankle strains....whether thats fin or fitness\diet related is open to debate)
I don't think turning will be too much of an issue for my playing 'style' (whatever that is
