you can't STOP players from dropping in behind you when swimming, i didn't mean that - just if your team mates knew what you were going to do they could fill in that space behind you before the opposition gets the opportunity

Maybe. there was no way out from the viewingpoint at that moment. Iff you look to the beginning. i was not the first by the puck with the KO. but steall/intersepted the puck when it was passed to the other player. and at that moment there was no turning possible anymore. I was between 2 opponents.. So then you can pass the puck backwards and still have 6 opponents between the puck and the gool. Or swim forwards and pass as much players as possible. and make the distance to the gool as minimal as possible. And keep the pressure on the opponent.
So what will you do? pass it back and still have 6 opponents between you and the gool. Or simpley keep swimming.
