I thought that the only reason to train so much was so that you can eat as much as you like and not give a s#*t? That's my theory anyway. And if it helps to play hockey better then that's a bonus.
I do tend to agree with Lena though on alllowing fitness to slip a bit, but not entirely, so that you can't rely on on your fitness to get you out of trouble. In turn then you have to play smarter and learn to be more effective with the decisions that you make on the bottom of the pool. Then when you do get fit again you have the added benefit of also being a smarter player. |
