| Yes the President of CMAS is attending to have a dialogue with anyone who is interested. He is coming to try and convince teams to attend his doomed CMAS games in Bari, which he wants to be the world championships for hockey. He is trying to save them, but it is too late
The USA, NZ, OZ, Canada, Holland, Colombia, Ireland and South Africa have told CMAS they are not attending the games. He will also be there to Dump on the hockey commission for exercising their democratic rights and not agreeing with him and doing as they are told.
CMAS is in a pickle because their own rules state that they must have a minimum of 10 teams from at least 3 continents for it to be a world championship. So far they have 7 teams from 1 continent which is Europe.
Underwater hockey is at the end of the road with CMAS as CMAS is now holding the growth of the sport back. At the 2008 World Championships to be held in Durban South Africa we will most likely see teams from Scotland, Jersey, Wales and also Argentina will be able to return.
The women's competition is certainly doomed for Bari as most of the European countries that will be attending do not even have women's teams, Slovenia, Serbia, Germany, Belgium and Hungry to name a few.
The commission is already working with South Africa to make the Durban worlds the best to date and with the current exchange rate things will be allot cheaper than in the past.
Hope this information is of use.
