| Sven, available and cheap is good to get someone started, but it has nothing to do with making a good glove for hockey. Or maybe I need to say it like this, it has nothing to do with making a glove for good hockey. You say you have the talent to knock the puck down with your glove, to me that is not talent, that is slow and unskilled play. And your glove promotes that. Cut your glove in half and you may get the talent to knock the puck down with your stick. Hey! Legal play, what a concept.
The Slovenian glove is the fastest most comfortable glove I have worn since I used to use (early and mid 90's) two strips of radiator hose on my middle and fore fingers, nothing anywhere else-- and I still have complete mobility in my hand. My only serious hand related injury came from using the brass pucks with the hot glue gloves when I first started. And that was from too many over zealous bashers trying to run through little ol' me. Once I learned to puck handle I reduced my glove to the hose and never had a serious injury since.
If everyone went to playing without a glove, or something with very little protection, the game would clean up a lot better. Too much protection results in bashing because people can't feel, or don't care that they feel, the little hits and become more fearless on the big wreckless ones. Take away all or most of that protection and people will change their bashing style. They will become fast and accurate and skilled and make plays that are smart instead of being brute force bullies that don't know what this game could be.
