my team was in the playoff, with no subs, had played the game before and were playing the game straight after. i was sitting on the poolside watching as exhausted cheerleader... i knew the significance of the game because my team was playing but i never would have known of it otherwise. there was no trumpeting announcement of the game, and everyone not playing was taking the opportunity for a break. the poor guys playing the game had a big sympathy vote from everyone else!

really, what do you expect? every player that thinks they are any good to jump in the water and start shouting instructions at these poor guys while they played? how would that have helped anything? maybe some people could have got in and watched and then given advice afterwards... quite hard, as they were all playing! people would have watched and given advice if they were asked... i would have done for my team if they had wanted me too, but they were happier having me rest while they couldn't... it was their turn to have no subs!

there was a good final to watch between two good teams at the end of the day, with plenty of space for spectators, and lots of discussion between spectators in breaks of play as well, and lots of people watching to see a good game and maybe learn something. those poor playoff teams were dropping from tiredness at that stage though! they had played more games than anyone. probably a big drawback in the structure of the tournament... maybe thats what you should be criticising instead of pointing vague fingers at people? i'm not sure i buy the fans-gods thread or how it started from talk about the dutch tourney... i'm not sure that a guy putting names on an un-impressive list counts as a fan? wouldn't that make him a heckler? or are we going to develop anti-fans before fans? haha! maybe players will start receiving hate mail before fan mail! hilarious.

its not anyones responsibility to look for people to teach... its those that want to learns responsibility to go out and find the knowledge, like anything else in life. when those people ask there will always be people willing to answer and help out... just cross your fingers that you picked someone who can tell you an answer that will work for you!
