I think in great part the reason for this was twofold.
1) We all had games both immediately before and after said game.
2) We had no idea the game had any significance to anyone whatsoever until several hours after it was played.

It's a pity the video camera wasn't going, I always play better when I know my shabbiness is going to be recorded...
