Doesn't world cup have connotations of a higher grade tournament in any case - see football, rugby, cricket [cough cough].
I was under the impression that junior teams are/were not welcome in Bari.
I am guessing that the USA & Canada [like NZ teams] are entirely self-funded by the players - who cannot afford to travel to Europe 2 years in a row.

why not ask where many other european nations' registrations are?
if they are planning to attend they should be organised enough, by now, to have an entry in.
