Unlikely...
The dutch run a rather more violent and damaging version of the game than the rest of the world, due in part to their having their own 'dutch rules' that ignore the rules everyone else plays by...
Only in Holland have I had a member of the opposition come up to me smiling after the game and say "that was a really nice move you did to get around me, I'm lucky I managed to get my other elbow into your face to stop you!" |
I think you speak with some players from Breda?
In the Netherlands
is violent and damaging play also not allowed.
For shooting a puck nearby a face or in the face you get normal easy 2 or 5 minuts.
For hitting/fighting somebody you can leave.
And for an elbow 2 or 5 minuts.
But i agree with you that some teams / players in the highest class in the netherlands think they can do that.
But our rules dont are so different then the rest off the world.
The only differents is by chanching players at the chanching place. By us you dont jump into the pool.
Iff you get pass me with a good move i see it and i tell you after the game
"see you the next time. Try it then again. i now now how you did it!"
I and my own club players NEVER traint in violent and damaging play.
Iff i 'm a reff and i see it you will go outside the game for some times.
Violents and damaging play has nothing to do with the game underwaterhockey.
